Building a pool in Pasco WA requires a permit from the City of Pasco. Many homeowners worry about the permit process, but with a licensed contractor handling everything, it is simpler than you think.
Why Permits Are Required
Pool permits ensure that your pool meets Washington state building codes for safety, structural integrity, and electrical standards. Without a permit, you risk fines, problems when selling your home, and liability if something goes wrong.
What the Permit Process Looks Like
Your contractor submits plans to the City of Pasco Building Division. The city reviews the plans and typically approves them within 2 to 4 weeks. Inspections are required at multiple stages: after excavation, after rebar placement, after shell installation, and at final completion.
